Frequently asked questions

Furniture sourcing FAQ
for global buyers.

Clear answers about product selection, OEM and ODM, samples, commercial terms, quality control, packaging and export delivery.

01

Product selection & ordering

The starting information, sourcing route, samples and commercial inputs needed before an order can be evaluated.

What product information should we send first?

Send a product reference, image, drawing or model; intended use; target market and channel; estimated quantity; destination; requested changes; packaging or labeling needs; and target timing. Unknown items can be marked for confirmation.

What is the difference between sourcing an existing product, OEM and ODM?

Existing-product sourcing begins with an available reference. OEM begins with a buyer-controlled product definition or sufficiently detailed specification. ODM begins with a market or design direction that still requires product development or adaptation.

How are samples and revisions approved?

The project should identify the sample version, review comments, requested changes and the exact version approved to proceed. Sample availability, cost and timing must be confirmed for the specific project.

What are your MOQ, price and lead time?

MOQ, quotation and lead time depend on the SKU, dimensions, materials, finish, hardware, packaging, customization, quantity, destination and current production evaluation. We confirm these details against the selected product and inquiry rather than applying one site-wide figure.

02

Customization, quality & compliance

How specifications, approved versions, inspection points and supporting documents are controlled for each product.

How do we confirm board, material, finish and color?

Record the requested build specification against a drawing, reference or sample. Final material, finish, color and hardware details are confirmed per SKU and approved version.

Do certificates or test reports apply to every product?

No blanket coverage should be assumed. Each document must be checked for its holder or issuing subject, product or material scope, model, validity and relevance to the destination market.

How is product quality checked before shipment?

Inspection points are aligned with the approved sample, specification and packing requirements. The relevant checks may cover appearance, dimensions, function, hardware, assembly, quantity, labeling and packaging, depending on the product and agreed order scope.

How are quality issues or specification differences handled?

The affected SKU, order record, photos or video, quantity and nature of the issue should be documented first. The cause, responsibility and practical corrective action are then reviewed against the approved specification and transaction terms.

03

Packaging, export & delivery

Private-label packaging, parcel delivery, export records and responsibility boundaries for international orders.

Can you coordinate private-label packaging and labels?

Private-label discussions can cover brand marks, product labels, barcodes, carton marks, packaging artwork and installation materials. Feasibility and final files are confirmed for the selected product and channel.

What should e-commerce buyers check for single-unit delivery?

Review carton structure, internal protection, edges, corners, hardware containment and the handling or drop risks relevant to the parcel channel. Required tests and acceptance criteria must be agreed for the product and market.

Who is responsible for export documents and shipment arrangements?

Responsibilities depend on the agreed transaction and destination. Before release, identify who supplies, checks and receives product information, commercial documents, package marks, booking inputs and destination-market evidence.

What should we send for an outdoor products inquiry?

Share the product type or reference, use scenario, target market, channel, quantities, customization, material or performance priorities, destination and timing. Inflatable tents have a documented model range; other outdoor categories begin with supply-chain matching and feasibility review.

Are you ready to start your purchasing plan?

If your question depends on a specific product, quantity, market or delivery requirement, send the known details and we will help identify what still needs confirmation.
